A few things to know about me...
- Eldest child among five. Grew up in a broken family in a farming community in the Philippines.
- I took up Accounting out of practicality.
- My dream back then? To become a journalist-writer.
- In 2014, I became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and started my audit career in a Big 4 firm.
- Then, in 2017, the company sent me to an international secondment. Off to Singapore, I went.
- Secondment was over. After 5+ years, I left audit.
- During a 9-month longer-than-planned career break, I reinvented myself.
- Gave my CPA title a new meaning. Coach. Problem-solver. Accountant.
- Started writing again.
- In 2020, amidst the pandemic, I moved to Belgium and restarted my audit career.
- Traveled a lot. Mostly in Europe. Some in the US. More childhood dreams came true. Dream of travels? Check!
- Then, I switched to Learning & Development. Transformed learning programs for audit professionals. Plenty of creativity. Remote working. Dream job? Check!
- In 2023, I became a certified coach. Dream license? Check!
- In 2024, I decided to start my journey as an entrepreneur. And that's where I am today.
In total, I spent a decade’s worth of corporate journey to:
- Get out of the box and redefine my identity
- Embrace my authentic self with all its flaws and imperfections
- Rediscover my purpose and passion
- Build a portfolio of experiences and skillset
- Share back my experiences, knowledge, and skills
And the journey continues…
To make my small corner of the world a better place
To shape a better future in my profession
Even if I did not dream of becoming an accountant, I aim to become a CPA for good.
What makes me happy now and what's next
Mission #1: To help auditors become so damn good, AI can’t replace you
So that you can make more money and save more time.
With more money and time, do more of what makes you happy.
